Product Properties:
VP/VA Copolymers with different rations of N-Vinylpyrrolidone to Vinyl,Acetate,soluble in most organic solvents.Which exists in powder,water solution and ethnol solution form.VP/VA compolymer forms hard,water-removable and glossy films,it has excellent compatibility with many plasticizers and modifiers,an the hydroscopicity decreases in proportion to the ration of Vinyl,acetate.
Applications:
It possesses excellent adhesiveness,flexibility,forms a hard film and other characters,mainly used as a water-soluble binder and dry binder when used in wet granulation and direct compression tablet processes,also used as a film-forming material in film coatings.
Binding agent:
used in wet granulation processes.
Dry binding agent:
used in direct compression tablet processes.
Film coating agent:
used for film promoters and sugar coating to prevent splitting,bottom binder to prevent moisture sensitivity.
Crazing agent:acts in taste preparating and coating films.
VP/VA Copolymers are the excellent choice as film forming agent and hair-styling agent,which are suitable for formulations which used as film forming and viscosity modification,especially in hair styling products, such as Hair Gels,Aerosol gas sprays,Wet look sprays.
In view of it's excellent adhesiveness ,film hard and other properties,Copovidone mainly used as water-soluble binder and dry binder in wet/direct granulation processes,also it can be used as film forming materials.
